Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Specifies requirements for a safe and proper design of a compressed gas regulator, together with the precautions that are necessary during the construction, operation and maintenance of compressed gas regulators. It takes into consideration the unique properties of oxygen and acetylene, and highlights the precautions necessary when the regulators are installed in the workplace.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This Standard specifies the requirements of pressure regulators for use with industrial compressed gas cylinders. The mechanisms of pressure regulating valves and regulators for use with medical gas cylinders, together with fixed delivery pressure L.P.G. regulators for domestic and recreational pruposes are not covered by this Standard.
