The objective of this Standard is to determine the potential of small parts of fabric or other material being separated when bitten or chewed by a child, which may become an ingestion hazard.

This Appendix sets out a method to determine whether the fabric items or soft material could be bitten through by a child and the minimum number of tests that need to be conducted.
