A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Deals with the main areas of data processing, including the principal processes and types of equipment used, the representation, organization and presentation of data, the programming and operation of computers, input-output devices, and peripheral equipment, as well as particular applications. The terms and definitions are identical with those given in corresponding sections of the ISO vocabulary, ISO 2382.
