22 - APPENDIX A - PERIODIC INSPECTION AND TESTING
22 - APPENDIX B - GUIDE FOR SELECTION OF THE PREFERRED TYPE OF LIFT

Specifies requirements for low-speed passenger lifts controlled by a constant pressure device. The lifts are capable of being electrically isolated by a key-lockable control. It is intended that the Standard be applied only where the lift is used infrequently, primarily by persons with limited mobility. Guidance on periodic inspection and testing, and on selection of the preferred type of lift are given in appendices.

This Standard specifies requirements for lowspeed passenger lifts controlled by a constant pressure device. The lifts are capable of being electrically isolated by a keylockable control. This Standard is complementary to AS 1735.1, but the requirements of this Standard take precedence over corresponding requirements of that Standard.NOTE: Guidance on periodic inspection and testing and on selection of the preferred type of lift are given in Appendices A and B respectively.
