This Standard, together with the other Standards under AS 1807, sets out a series of methods. The specifications for all test equipment have been incorporated in the series and additional test methods for testing safety cabinets and determining the recovery times of cleanrooms have been included. The test method in AS 1807.7-1976 has been replaced by a method to test the installation integrity of not terminally mounted HEPA filters which is based on the test method in AS 1132.9-1973, and the test method in AS 1807.14-1976 has been incorporated in Methods 12 and 13 and withdrawn without replacement.

This Standard sets out the method for determining the size and number of airborne particles in the size range 5 mm and larger in the work zone of conventional and laminar flow cleanrooms, when the gross particle count is equal to or in excess of Class 35.NOTE: This method complements AS 1807.8.
