This Standard specifies requirements for thin-walled wrought aluminium alloy irrigation tube used to transport water at temperatures below 50°C in systems where the operating pressure is less than 1.0 MPa. It specifies seven tube diameters and the nominal wall thickness for each diameter. Six alloy designations of aluminium alloy tubing are specified. The Standard is applicable to tubes for which the mechanical properties are achieved by cold working or by heat treatment and which are manufactured by one of the following processes: (a) Extrusion.(b) Extrusion followed by cold drawing.(c) Cold-rolling of sheet aluminium followed by roll-forming of tube and continuous seam welding.NOTES:1 Advice and recommendations on information to be supplied by the purchaser at the time of enquiry or order are contained in Appendix A.2 Alternative means for determining compliance with this Standard are given in Appendix B.
