This Standard specifies a system for the training, examination, qualification and certification of personnel involved in the performance of non-destructive testing (NDT) for general engineering applications. NOTE: For some general engineering applications, the qualification and certification of personnel to this Standard may be impractical. When this occurs, it is recommended that the qualification of personnel be the responsibility of the employer.
