Values for physical properties of hard-drawn aluminium wire and galvanized steel wire. Tolerances on dimensions, chemical composition, mechanical properties, electrical resistivity of the wire comply with BS 4565. Modulus of elasticity, code names for use when ordering and details of non-standard constructions are given.

Part 2 of this British Standard applies to aluminium conductors, steel-reinforced for overhead power transmission.
