    Gives methods of test for post insulators and post insulator units of ceramic materials or toughened glass for indoor and outdoor service in electrical installations or equipment operating on alternating current with a nominal voltage greater than 1000 V and a frequency not greater than 100 Hz. The electrical and mechanical characteristics of post insulators and the conditions under which the described values of these characteristics are verified.
