Methods of test for determining water absorption, amount of crazing, resistance to seven different chemicals and resistance to staining and to burning. Definitions of various defects, together with tables of permissible defects in different appliances. Quality of glazing and with dimensional tolerances.

This British Standard specifies certain requirements concerning the quality and dimensional tolerances for vitreous china sanitary appliances and details the methods of test by which their properties may be assessed.
