Gives requirements for mechanical and electromechanical indicators used in aircraft which is regarded as a unit primarily concerned with the visual display of information. Includes luminescent and fluorescent markings and self-test, dimensions for flangeless round indicator cases, dimensions for flangeless round indicator cases, panel cutouts, standard dimensions for flangeless square and rectangular cases, flangeless square indicator cases, 2 in. (50.8 mm), flangeless square and rectangular cases, cutouts, standard mooring plates, flangeless, square and rectangular cases, mounting arrangement for flangeless square and rectangular indicator cases, recesses for pitot pressure connections, and recessed for static pressure connections.

This British Standard specifies requirements which are generally applicable to mechanical and electromechanical indicators for use in aircraft. It is to be read in conjunction with specifications for individual indicators and the relevant requirements of BS 3G 100.

For the purpose of this standard, an indicator is regarded as a unit primarily concerned with the visual display of information.
