    Intended as a guide to the selection of electrical equipment, accessories and materials for installation in Division 2 areas and should not be regarded as a specification. Users are reminded that apparatus installed in Division 2 areas will be subject to inspection as regards its fitness for purpose by the authority responsible for administering the relevant statutory requirements. Such authorities may be prepared, at their discretion, to take cognizance of any certificate issued by a recognized testing organization, indicating that the apparatus in question complies with a standard of construction acceptable to the statutory authority.
