Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Gives general methods of test for organic ester type plasticizers containing only carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Excludes esters of phenols and hydroxy-acids. Covers measurement of colour and colour after heat treatment, water content, ash, acidity to phenolphthalein, ester content and saponification and ester values, viscosity, matter oxidizable by potassium dichromate, density at 20 degrees C, crystallizing point, refractive index and flash point.
