A practice guide on flameproof electrical equipment with type D flameproof enclosures and its safe use. It does not apply to underground mining industry, but it may be applied to the surface installations of mines. Apparatus with type of protection 'd': flameproof enclosure is meant for use in areas with vapour risks and flammable gas. Excludes combustible gas. Also includes detailed definitions together with explanations of terms.
