Provides guidance on the use of industrial byproducts and waste materials in the construction industry, including roads, building and civil engineering. The materials covered are residues from extractive and processing industries and the standard has been restricted to those residues which are produced in the largest quantities and have some potential for use in the construction industry. Covers the environmental and economic aspects of the utilization of industrial byproducts and waste materials. Includes flow diagrams as aids to the decision taking process.
