Gives methods for determining proportions present in commonly encountered textile fibres of antimony, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, lead, manganese, mercury, nickel and zinc. Applies to textile materials in which the metal being determined constitutes not more than 0.1% by mass of the material. Covers definitions, extraction of soluble metals, wet ashing, dry ashing, atomic absorption spectrophotometry and related methods, colorimetric determination of metals and test report.
