    Provides thickness requirements for coatings on imperial metal fasteners.

    Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

    This standard gives thickness requirements for coatings on imperial metal fasteners and can be used in conjunction with all parts of BS7371.

    NOTE1 For information on coating materials, see the relevant part of BS7371.

    This standard does not cover components such as self-tapping screws and wood screws.

    This standard includes area tables (in square inch units) for imperial fasteners, and factors for thickness determination (see Table2 to Table8).

    NOTE2 Details concerning cadmium have not been included in this standard due to the restrictions placed on the marketing and use of cadmium and its compounds contained in national and international regulations.
