Draws attention to end use industries, end-uses, methods of test on roller covering materials and covered rollers.

This Part of BS 7442 provides an introduction to a series of Parts of BS 7442 related to rubber or plastics covered rollers. It draws attention to a number of end-uses, methods of test related to the roller covering and the covered roller and also to other relevant British Standards. The roller or core material is outside the scope of BS 7442.
