List of references

Specifies boxes intended to contain 1 tonne of potatoes, together with performance requirements for 3 classes of box suitable for stacking up to 8,6 or 4 high respectively. Guidance on design, safe use and use in positive ventilation systems is included.

This British Standard specifies dimensions and design requirements together with prototype tests and related performance requirements, for potato storage boxes having a tare weight of up to 150 kg, intended to contain a maximum of 1 150 kg1) of potatoes for short and long term storage and designed for handling by conventional fork lift truck handling systems, with or without box emptying mechanisms.

NOTE Potato storage boxes supplied in kit form are not within the scope of this standard.
