Defines test methods to verify the capabilities of motorcycle tyres. Only some of the presented test methods may be required, depending on the type of tyre being tested. Tests are carried out under controlled laboratory conditions. Includes a strength test rekevant to the tread area; an endurance test and a high-speed test. The centrifugal growth test assesses the maximum growth of the tyre under centrifugal forces at the maximum speed capability of the tyre, and is applicable only to tyres with speed symbols P and above. None of the given test methods are intended for gradation of tyre performance or quality levels.
