Der Thermobehälter wird im Truppensanitätsdienst der Bundeswehr (Bw) verwendet. Er dient als mobiles Kühlgerät für die Lagerung und den Transport von vorgekühlten Erythrozythenkonzentraten (Eks) und kühlpflichtigen thermolabilen Präparaten (Arzneimitteln, Impfstoffen, Blutersatzstoffen). Er ist u.a. im Einbausatz (EBS)-VPL.Grp. in Kabine II FmA eingesetzt.
