This standard is included in DIN VDE Handbook 511. Applicable to electrical and electronic apparatus to be used in the residential, commercial and light-industrial environment for which no dedicated product or product-family immunity standard exists. Applicable to apparatus intended for direct connection to a public low-voltage mains network or dedicated DC source for interfacing between apparatus and low-voltage public mains network. Also applicable to apparatus which is battery-operated or powered by a non-public but non-industrial low-voltage power distribution system if apparatus is for use in specified locations.
