A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Defines a method using scanning electron microscopy for determination of the concentration of inorganic fibrous particles in the air. It specifies the use of gold-coated, capillary-pore, track-etched membrane filters, through which a known volume of air has been drawn. Applies to the measurement of the concentrations of inorganic fibrous particles in ambient air.
