La présente partie de l'ISO 22391 spécifie les caractéristiques des raccords des systèmes de canalisations en: polyéthylène de meilleure résistance à la température (PE-RT), Type I, et polyéthylène de meilleure résistance à la température (PE-RT), Type II, destinés aux installations d'eau chaude et froide à l'intérieur des bâtiments ainsi qu'au transport de l'eau, destinée ou non à la consommation humaine (systèmes domestiques) et aux installations de chauffage, à des pressions et des températures de service spécifiées correspondant à la classe d'application conformément à l'ISO 22391-1.
