Covers the following information: 1) Instructions for machining, cleaning, and inspection of tapped holes into which 'Self-locking, solid wall' thread inserts are fitted, hereinafter referred to as inserts. 2) Instructions for fitting inserts and for inspection of fitted inserts. 3) Particulars of tapped holes, assembly tools, and extraction tools. 4) This installation specification refers to inserts controlled by SBAC drawings AGS 4678 or other drawings referencing this specification for inserts fitted in tapped holes.
