Purpose of this NATO standardization agreement (STANAG) is to respond to the following interoperability requirements: 1. The signal lights displayed to a receiver aircraft during probe and drogue air-to-air refuelling operations. 2. Suitable signal lights to receiver aircraft being operated by crews who are operating either with or without the use of night vision goggles (NVG).
