Le présent guide définit les conditions d'installation d'éclairage en très basse tension pour une puissance maximale de 300 VA. Il a pour but de préciser les règles de protection contre les chocs électriques et contre les surintensités. En outre, il traite des conditions d'environnement et des précautions à prendre pour éviter les échauffements nuisibles. Les appareils d'éclairage doivent être conformes aux normes de la série NF EN 60598-1.Les systèmes d'éclairage TBT en kit, conformes au guide UTE C 71-102, ne sont pas admis dans les installations fixes. NOTE - Le présent guide ne traite pas des installations à basse tension alimentant des lampes TBT en série. Ces installations sont des installations basse tension et les luminaires sont exclusivement de la classe I ou II.
