Le présent document spécifie les règles générales applicables au système Iris.Radio, destiné à informer sur les risques, donner les niveaux de vigilance et les consignes à respecter vis-à-vis des menaces telles que: accidents technologiques (nuage toxique ou radioactif, explosion,...); événements météorologiques inhabituels (tempête, grand froid, canicule, ...); phénomènes naturels (inondation, feux de forêt, éruption volcanique, ... ). Le texte actuel définit le fonctionnement général du système Iris.Radio et les caractéristiques minimales d'un module de réception fixe. Les messages peuvent être captés par d'autres types de récepteurs qui ne sont pas couverts par le présent document. Celui-ci peut toutefois servir de base à leur développement. Le présent document a vocation à évoluer pour s'adapter aux nouvelles technologies de radio diffusion.
