Appendix Implementation

Defines the mechanics of four modes of operation for the data encryption algorithm (DEA). Provides interoperability of products and facilitates the development of application standards that use one or more of these four modes of operation. The modes are: electronic codebook (ECB) mode, cipher block chaining (CBC) mode, cipher feedback (CFB) mode, and output feed back (OFB) mode.
