Sets out requirements, which are in accordance with United Nations recommendations and the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail, for the design and use of Class labels for dangerous goods. A large replica of each Class label is provided to serve as a model for the production of correct labels.

This Standard sets out details of the design and selection of labels appropriate to the Classes, Categories and Subsidiary Risks of dangerous goods designated in the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG Code). A large replica of each Class label, and of the Class 1 Subsidiary Risk label, is provided.NOTE: Further information on the classification of dangerous goods and the transportation requirements for such goods is provided in the ADG Code.
