This Standard sets out the factors which should be taken into account in the specification of colours. It describes the various methods used to specify colours, and gives guidelines to assist in the selection of the most appropriate method for a given application. Guidelines are also provided for the specification of tolerances.NOTES:1 In this Standard, the abbreviations used for designating the names of colours are -R -red Y -yellow G -green B -blue P - purpleCombinations of these designations are also used, e.g.GY - green, yellow2 Appendix A provides an example of specification of a colour domain.
