The objective of this Standard is to provide the Australian and New Zealand electrical industry, including manufacturers, regulators, test laboratories and certification bodies, with requirements for boxes and enclosures for electrical accessories intended to be installed in any kind of floor, and to protect accessories against load up to and including 1000 N.

This clause of Part 1 is applicable except as follows:Addition after the fourth paragraph:This standard applies to boxes and enclosures intended to be installed in any kind of floor, and to protect accessories against load up to and including 1 000 N.NOTE: Outdoor requirements are under consideration.
