1.1This specification covers hydrated hydraulic lime for structural purposes.

1.2Hydrated hydraulic lime may be used in the scratch or brown coat of plaster, stucco, mortar, or in portland-cement concrete either as blend, amendment, or admixture.

1.3The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, the inch-pound units are shown in brackets. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.

1.4The following precautionary caveat pertains only to the test method portion, Section 11 of this specification: This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
