1.1 This test method covers the determination of the specific gravity or density of semi-solid and solid bituminous materials by nickel crucible at a standard test temperature.

Note 1-The comparable pycnometer method for the determination of specific gravity or density of semi-solid bituminous materials is described in Test Method D70.
