1.1This practice establishes procedures for the evaluation of the resistance of industrial protective coatings to immersion in chemicals.

1.2Linings are a particular type of coating intended for protection of substrates from corrosion as a result of continuous or intermittent fluid immersion.

1.3The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parenthesis are for information only.

1.4This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
