Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Covers steel spring washers of helical construction and of the following types meant for general engineering and automobile purposes: single coil rectangular section, single coil square section, double coil, and single coil girder section. Does not deal with the term 'lock washer'. In order to help with reducing the wide range of stock sections of wire, the standard gives one dimensional grade for each of types A, B and D. Also includes clauses relating to heat treatment, material, hardness and certain test requirements.
