Gives a measure of viscosity by determining the time of flow of 50 ml of a cut back bitumen, at 40 degrees C, through a 10mm orifice. The method is applied to cut back bitumens whose efflux times lie in the range 15 to 500 sec; it is suitable for cut back bitumens complying with BS 3690.
