Values for physical properties, sizes of wire and of stranded conductor. Tolerances on dimensions, chemical composition, mechanical properties and electrical resistivity of the wire comply with BS 2627. Modulus of elasticity, code names for use when ordering and details of non-standard constructions are given.

Part 1 of this British Standard applies to aluminium stranded conductors for overhead power transmission.
