Expression of flame-resistance by numerical ratings. Fabrics, of all constructions, in flat sheet or may, by cutting, be converted into flat sheets. Not for assessment of flameproof fabrics for industrial use (see BS 1547). Vertical strip test, for fabrics having flame-resistance of 100 or more; 45° test, for fabrics having flame-resistance less than 100 when tested by vertical method.
