Two sets of definitions (solid and liquid fuels and gaseous fuels) of four calorific values: gross calorific value at constant pressure and at constant volume, net calorific value at constant pressure and at constant volume. Calculation from the basic, e.g. experimentally determined, calorific value of any other of the four calorific values for a fuel.
