Gives the requirements for compounds when evaluated by the methods given in Part 1.

This Part of BS 5734 specifies thermosetting polyester sheet moulding compounds which are classified according to their mechanical properties and may be further distinguished by their oxygen index.

NOTE 1 Appendix A lists further properties and appropriate test methods that may be specified by agreement between the purchaser and the supplier.
