Describes requirements for fire blankets intended for use by one person. Fire blankets are classified as either light duty or heavy duty, with correspondingly different suggested applications. This standard does not apply to fire blankets that: are made from asbestos, have sides of differing appearance, finish or colour, have a performance that differs according to which side is used, and are made of metallic sandwich construction.
