This standard establishes a common measurement procedure for validating the shielding effectiveness of a shielded enclosure.

This standard applies to measurements of shielding attenuation of shielded enclosures (chambers, rooms) in the frequency range 9 kHz – 40 GHz. The object of this standard is to establish a common measurement procedure for validating the shielding effectiveness of shielded enclosure.
