This part of ISO1891 specifies terms and definitions for fastener coatings, primarily intended for corrosion protection and functional purposes. These terms are mainly intended for use in conjunction with ISO4042 , ISO10683 and ISO10684 . A multilingual list of terms in alphabetical order is given in AnnexA. NOTE1 For other general terms related to surface coatings, see for example ISO1461 and ISO2080 . NOTE2 For other fastener terms, see for example ISO225 , ISO1891 , ISO4753 and ISO14588 . NOTE3 In addition to the terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Swedish; these have been included at the request of ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC2/SC14 and are published under the responsibility of the member bodies for China (SAC), Germany (DIN), Italy (UNI), Japan (JISC), Spain (AENOR) and Sweden (SIS). However, only the terms given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms.
