Describes requirements for one grade of corrosion preventive compound, soft film, cold application, for short-term preservation and protection of certain engine cylinders, valve gear, complete engines, gun barrels, ferrous and light alloy sheets, in storage in temperate climates. PX-1 is suitable for application by brushing, spraying, or dipping.

DevelopmentNote	Supersedes DEF 2331. (06/2002) This standard is obsolescent because it is no longer required for procurement of new equipment but is retained for maintenance purposes in support of existing in-service equipment. (01/2017)
