A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Used for determination of water absorption of compacted bituminous materials with the aid of a vacuum. It can also be used for bituminous materials which contain capillary-porous mineral substances and mineral substances with open pores. For such materials, a calculation of the voids content in accordance with DIN 1996 Part 7 is not feasible.
