Diese Norm ist anzuwenden für runde Klappverschlüsse aus unlegiertem Stahl mit Oberflächenschutz und Schutzring, an Apparaten, die vorzugsweise verfahrenstechnischen Zwecken dienen. Die Klappverschlüsse sind als Mannlöcher verwendbar. Sie entsprechen den Technischen Regeln Druckbehälter (TRB) und erfüllen deren Anforderungen. Die besonderen Bedingungen für Zugangsöffnungen entsprechend der Verordnung über gefährliche Stoffe (Gefahrstoffverordnung) bzw. den Richtlinien für Arbeiten in Behältern und engen Räumen (ZH1/77) sind zu beachten. Sie sind ausgelegt für die in der Tabelle 2 angegebenen zulässigen Betriebsdaten. Klappverschlüsse für andere Drücke und Temperaturen sind in Anlehnung an diese Norm auszuführen. Diese Klappverschlüsse Nennweite DN 500 und DN 600 mit Schutzring dienen zum Einsatz an Apparaten, bei denen eine mechanische Beschädigung des Oberflächenschutzes im Bereich des oberen Stutzenrandes (bei offenem Deckel) verhindert werden muss.
