Describes a burner using propane as fuel gas, the flame of which can be used to ignite materials such as plastics, textiles, etc. when testing the burning behavior of said materials. With the aid of this burner, a flame with estimable dimensions and with a constant temperature profile is capable of being generated. The flame height can be adjusted from 10 mm to 60 mm.
