The tensile test is used for assessing the behaviour of rigid cellular materials under uniaxial tensile loading. The testing is carried out on specified test specimens under stipulated conditions regarding conditioning of the test specimens, the test atmosphere and the rate of displacement. The stress-strain diagram is plotted.
