Dieser Teil von IEC 61755 legt massgebliche Grenzmasse von optischen Schnittstellen mit zylindrischen Zirkonia-Stiften (ZrO[2]) mit einem Durchmesser von 2,5 mm und 1,25 mm mit einem mit 8 grad angeschrägten Schliff für den physikalischen Kontakt (APC) fest, damit bestimmte Anforderungen an die Verbindung zwischen Fasern erfüllt werden.
